VIRAT KOHLI was born on 5th Nov 1988 in Delhi to a Punjab family. His father's name is Prem Kohli, a criminal lawyer and his Mothers name are Saroj Kohli. He was a street player who used to play at the age of 3 years, seeing his interest his father joined him in West Delhi Cricket Academy at the age of 9. He started learning all the key tricks from his coach Raj Kumar Sharma and also playing league matches on behalf of Sumit Dogra CricketAcademy.

He also played a key role in winning the ICC Champion trophy in 2013. He did captaincy for India – west industry series and won the cup as Dhoni couldn’t take up the captaincy because of injuries. After the Australia tour in December 2014Virat Kohli turned into Captain Kohli as dhoni didn’t recover completely from injuries, so he was made captain for the test series. Unexpectedly, dhoni announced retirement from test cricket so Kohli turned as the future captain of test cricket.
